Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

What I failed to mention in the video was the exact amount and price of this puppy. It is 2.6 oz / 75 g and retails for $72 Canadian. Honestly for the amount you get it will last you forever! For those of you who exfoliate on a regular basis this certainly has to be up there with the very best!

I tried to get really close so that you could see the texture but, unfortunately it was at the price of some clarity. Hopefully you can see that it is quite powdery. Most definitely a product worth getting.

  1. Hi kokolaroo! :) just watched your video, it was very informative for me , like all of your other videos. I am a huge fan of yours :) just a little introduction; i have a fair but not porcelain baby pinky fair more of a mediterranean olive and also yellowy type of fair, very likely to discolor, combination to dry, little bit acne prone 27 year old facial skin. I was using chemical peels in pad forms because they do not spread the acne and really help with discoloration and do not dry out my skin . About a month ago i bought a product from Kanebo, it is "Silky Purifying Silk Peeling Powder" from their Sensai line. I think it is very similar to the Dermalogica one . I use it 3 times a week , it has an instant brightening effect but then again i regularly use whitening serums so i am not so sure if it is really helping about the discoloration problem. But it leaves my skin so so so soft and peels really nicely . Not so often but sometimes i get flaky spots on my forehead when i wear make up , but since i have been using this powdery silky milky peeling they seem to be disappeared. I actually really recommend this to you. When mine ends i will definitely try the Dermalogica one because i think i really enjoy this idea of exfoliating with powder . By the way Kanebo one comes in a plastic bottle is 40 grams and costs around 60 euros.Thank you so much :)

  2. Hi C!
Thanks for the tip about Kanebo...unfortunately it's not readily available in Canada. I've actually never seen the line here, but I will definitely keep an eye out for it. I think you would really like the Dermalogica product but as I always say....try to get a sample first as it is a little pricey...well at least in Canada. ;-D

  3. Interesting consistency, it really looks powdrey! Koko, I've asked in the comments of the video, I was just wondering have you tried the Yves Saint Laurant Biological Peeling (it's without grains). I've read great reviews on it, but never tried it!

  4. Hi Poli!! I did see your comment and answered but I guess YT was acting up again.....so to answer again, no I haven't tried the YLS Peel...I just don't have much luck with that line. I really doubt I'll buy anything from them again....unless of course I get all excited about the packaging LOL!...sigh....It really is one of my least favorite brands in terms of the products themselves.......xo

  6. I bought this product a couple of years ago because I read so much good things about it but unfortunately it didn't do anything for me :-( I didn't notice any difference in my skin and I sooo wanted to love it. I guess Dermalogica products just aren't for me: I used several other products with poor results and I even had to throw away a full size moisturizing mask which was also quite expensive :-((
Have you any suggestion for me to try and save the Microfoliant from the bin?

  7. Hi Vanessa....oh that's too bad it didn't work for you. I think perhaps because it's a very gentle daily exfoliator you see bigger results over time. I loved the way it felt and noticed a difference the first time I used it but it was not dramatic like Skinceuticals...I noticed the results more after daily use. I am so new to this product, as it was a gift from Elaine I really can't think of any other uses for it. If I ever think of one I will let you know....sorry I couldn't be more help....;-D

  8. Hi Koko! Thanks for the video. I was wondering if you have ever used the microdermabrasian products from Philosophy and if so how this product compares to that? That is the only brand I have ever used and am wondering if I should venture out and try this one...
    Thanks!

  9. Hi Sandee! No I've never used Philosophy"s micro dermabrasion products. I don't like the sound of it...LOL! I leave the microing to the professionals. As I've gotten older I prefer enzyme based exfoliators rather than anything with grit or particles. I love the dermalogica because it's a powder and the more water I use the softer it becomes. I go back and forth between this and my Viva amaze gel. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
